Mika is a British singer-songwriter who released his first full-length studio album, Life in Cartoon Motion, on Island Records in 2007. Life in Cartoon Motion sold more than 5.6 million copies worldwide and helped Mika win a Brit Award for Best British Breakthrough Act and receive a Grammy Award nomination in 2006.

The single reached the number one spot on both the US Billboard and Canadian Hot 100, while also topping the charts in 19 other countries. Jepsen has received multiple awards and nominations; she has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and was named by Billboard as 2012’s Rising Star.
