Blackberry 10 Officially Launch in Indonesia

MCJ News – On March 4th, 2013, the long awaited Blackberry 10 is officially launch at Ritz Carlton Pacific Place Ballroom, Jakarta.

Mr. Hasting Singh, Blackberry Managing Director for South Asia, announce that this new operating system is the first to hit the market in the last five years, and Blackberry (formerly known as Research in Motion – RIM) is very excited to introduce it to the world. And in creating this new OS, Hasting mention that some of the research is done in Indonesia, and Indonesia plays a big role in redesigning this new Blackberry. The renaming of the company to Blackberry is also a sign of their commitment in developing Blackberry in the future.

Blackberry have also hired Ms. Alicia Keys as Blackberry’s Global Creative Director, who are making innovative projects to support the launch of this new operating system.

The highlight of this device is the Blackberry Hub, where user can peek at anytime without having to close the application that they’re in, or even do lots of different things inside the hub like messaging on social media or even accepting friends. And the Blackberry 10 also allows user to use multiple application at the same time in real time, which is currently not available on other operating system

The first device to adopt the Blackberry 10 OS that will be available to the market is the Blackberry Z10, a 4.2″ Fully touchscreen device with 16Gb storage space, 8Mp camera with time-shift technology, 1.800mAH removable battery, support up to 32Gb of microSD memory, high-speed USB 2.0 and HDMI connection.

The pre-order for the device has been available since March 5th and from March 15th-17th, 2013, it is commercially launch at Central Park Mall, West Jakarta.

Blackberry is also committed in supporting users who are used with their physical keyboard and within Q2 will be launching the Blackberry Q10 which comes with a physical keyboard and the Blackberry 10 OS.

BlackBerry believes that this device is not just going to be popular among existing users, but will also attract users of other platforms.
